when the big bang happened, it initially expanded faster than the speed of light.
everything that exists that we can detect is still carrying momentum from the big bang
so my question is, could this momentum cause the light cones of two objects that are physically close to each other to never intersect?

basically, i'm wondering if there could be massive bodies, entire galaxies even, that exist in between us and the one we can observe, but this momentum will make it so they could never be observed by us

bump, curious to see if anyone thinks this is possible, or if i'm an idiot
