then at least post in such a way that we can actually understand what the fuck you are trying to say.

are you trying to say
>tfw you can easily follow mit professors in OCW and they(the students) learn the same things but they are respected and idolized
but then why are the students respected and idolized?

or something like
>tfw you can easily follow mit professors in OCW and they TEACH the same things but they are respected and idolized

or are you trying to say
>tfw you can easily follow mit professors in OCW and they learnED the same things but they are respected and idolized
now its a conversation about how people do different things with the same knowledge

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN??

the first one obviously

It's like if I told someone I knew Differential Equations and I went to (insert local CC here) they would laugh at me
>hethinksheknowsDE.jpg

Whereas if some MIT sophomore told someone they knew DE the person would consider them an expert and respect them

>> No.4953406

>>4953401
Protip: Nobody really "knows" differential equasions. Only the trivial cases can be solved.

>> No.4953414

>>4953396
then why did you use "they" after already letting "professors" be the subject of the sentence?

>> No.4953422

trust me some MIT people really deserve better than most average Joe
it has nothing to do with ability but they are "hobbyists", so they become young profession and get noticed, that's why they have real heart to do what they have to do on research.

>>4953414
because grammar? you must be an autism

>> No.4953432

fuck those feels. Just try really hard. It's awful the way schools like MIT are enshrined because they charge monstrously high tuition rates. Indeed, coming from the NE there are many shit tier private institutions here but they get mad respect just because they cost a lot of money. Scientists have studied this effect and it is indeed true the brain will enjoy something more just because it's more expensive, irrespective of other more intrinsic qualities. The only thing that can save us from this perspective is our scientific outlook that hopefully ignores trivialities by its nature.

>> No.4953457

They're respected and idolized because they studied in a prestigious university. They can be complete fuckwits but they're still respected and idolized even over people who actually know what they're talking about.

That's basically the feel you're dealing with no?
