In what year do you learn QFT?

Whichever you want.

>> No.4919900

1 year after you graduate.
or you can do it on your own in your 2nd/3rd year.

I had my first course on QED in year 3 (of 6.5) I believe.

Not sure anymore. It usually makes sense to learn QFT if you know your classical fields and your quantum mechanics. You don't need to go full BRS symmetry in your first course...

Never.

A good scientist won't waste his time with theoretical mental masturbation. Have fun with your oh so edgy formulas while biologists do actual research and work on advancing the human race.
