I am a BS-bio BA-chem premed major and I must say if I didn't take almost 100% molecular bio classes I would have guaranteedly would have just gone for the BS chem.

The future of biology is chemistry.

Also I'm not the GTFO guy, just slightly agree.

Not exactly biomed, sorry.

Forgive me if this sounds dense, but what makes a biomedical scientist different from a molecular/cellular biologist who just happens to be studying humans? I mostly just hear of biomed as being filled with people trying to jump onto medical courses without getting the proper grades.

I am a biochem major, does that count?

Hey, faggot. We make jokes about biology because it's borderline hard/soft science, like we make jokes about engineering for having almost no girls. It's a joke. As long as you know your math and science and aren't just a pseudo-intelligent hipster talking about stuff you don't understand you are welcome here.

Biofag (not med?) Working at the center for human genetic research....I don't know if that counts op.

Also: fuck 95% of my bio undergrad class. Half of them were stupid shit valley girl premeds, who wanted to be babyed through college and actually had the nerve to approach the dean because one of the professors was giving them "unfair" (read: actually challenging) tests. They would oft complain of my favorite professor who actually gave fun and thinking questions instead of having you regurgitate bullshit. I came out in the top of my class by actually, you know, studying and shit. All of them will drop out of med school and become housewives. Im sorry; what was this thread about again?

Oh man

I've never been here before, but I imagine you guys don't take too kindly to economists or economics

Computer engineer with biomedical specialization here. I spent two years developing cancer detection technology at a non-profit research agency, now I'm designing highly specialized measurement equipment for professional cyclists.
