I wasn't quite so frank, but I learned very quickly it's best not to build a personal relationship with female undergraduates. First of all, my girlfriend wasn't happy. Secondly, it made many nights in the pub quite awkward as teenage girls would approach me and tell me how "hilarious" my lectures were. Colleagues honestly thought I was fucking them and they weren't happy.

I have had offers to spend a night with a girl in return for extra tuition or help. It's not a great situation to be put in.
