wassup /sci/,
assuming I want to use the ideal gas equation for a balloon (PV=nRT)
Do I need to use air pressure and pressure by the walls of the balloon for P (also air inside balloon).

yes

no

maybe

>> No.4809718

I don't know.

Could you repeat the question?

I don't really know how to interpret the "and" in your equation.
And (stupid question) what do you mean by "air pressure" here? A specific value? Because if that's so, the ballon and the outside preassure obviously work against the preassure from inside. That the preasure inside is bigger is obvious from the fact that air moves out when you open the hole.
Anyway, once you can use the volume of the thing and the temperature to conclude what the total preasure inside is.
