Let the speed of the wind be w and the speed of the plane be u, then use v=x/t:
On the way there, u-w=1200/4=300.
On the way back, u+w=1200/3=400.
Solving simultaneously, w=50, u=350.

Please show me where I said I was taking college level math. I clearly stated that I was taking Prep math. 3. I had never even heard of wolfram alpha until it was just mentioned on here.
