/sci/ weigh in on areas of math useful for a compsci student..

For example - Metric Spaces / Topology, Complex Analysis, Ordinary/Partial Differential Equations, "Mathematical Modeling"? I suppose the obvious answer would be numerical mathematics but that's boring as fuck to me. Not off the table though.

what you're looking for is the bullshit easy fields: combinatorics, graph theory, and linear programming.

Well for pure cs students you're probably true. They aren't the sort to devote their entire cognitive life to their field, but it's decidedly more marketable and just generally useful than a math degree. In fact plain math degree would fucking suck. That's why I'm in joint Math/Compsci. Anywho even if I am an idiot incapable of high thinking I still need to know what courses suit my dumb ass.

Thanks. Specifically Metric Spaces isn't really applicable?

metric spaces are important everywhere. if you want a solid understanding of optimization for example you'll need them.
