The top pair are different species, while the bottom pair are the same species.

Actually dogs ARE wolves.

Homo neanderthalensis and homo sapiens sapiens are different species. It is now known that there have existed over 20 different species of human in the past. Though all of the others have gone extinct. There is however now genetic evidence that shows that all modern humans except those in africa share neanderthal genes. The only purebred humans are the africans.

Yea I think that picture is backwards too.

the modern dog is a form of Canis Lupus (wolf), Canis Latrans (coyote) on the other hand evolved independently on the American continent (wolves being Eurasian in origin). It is believed that the coyote evolved to fill the same role in the ecosystem that the wolf fills in Eurasia.

Okay. You used a stupid pic, trying to appear smart, but in fact exposing your ignorance.

There, that wasn't so hard now was it?

>> No.4770368

>>4770306

Yeah, but there are genetic differences.

I heard the other day that the difference between dog breeds is smaller than the difference between different human populations.

Phenotypes vs Genotypes, OP
