So guys, are there any type of chemical batteries where the electrodes don't magically go from one end to the other? i.e. aren't consumed

I'm seeing people getting mad as hell, more and more, about these fucking batteries that form sulfate layers or other sorts of crystals and then short out or otherwise stop working. I'm seeing more and more that people are resorting to electric shocking of batteries in order to de-sulfurize or de-crystallize the electrolyte.

We're mad as hell that these batteries are intentionally sealed up so that we can't just replace the plates within them.
