First, euro banknotes are printed on cotton. The ink is made so that it shifts colour when looked at from different angles. Higher value ones have more watermarks and iridiscent stripes than lower value ones. All of them are printed in relief, with varying combinations of security features. All the series have also specific codes depending on the country of origin. Also, currency counterfeiters are usually subjected to intensive engineering courses in prison.

Op it's really easy. Just scan *both* sides of the note with a scanner (use about 400dpi, should be good enough) and then print it out. For printers, probably a laserjet would suffice and as for paper, well you can just stick two normal sheets together(for the right thickness) and then cut the note out with scissors.
