Actually, extensive inbreeding serves only to make a population stronger, as detrimental genes are weeded out with maximum force. (Of course, such populations become less adaptable....)

I think we'll go extinct if someone purposely started killing all humans sometime in the future. That or if the universe starts to collapse into itself and we haven't been able to relocate to a different universe.

I think WALL-E and idiocracy had it pretty much right, but with a twist:

Humanity'll end up as a bunch of fatass retards surviving only thanks to benevolent AI forced to keep us alive until it turns rogue somehow, overpowered aliens or some other inevitable force vaporize everything or the heat death of the universe.
