mfw I found out that biomedical engineering, you’ll learn how to use physics, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering to produce solutions to important biological and medical problems. Everything I love. I think I just came. I'm so happy, and bio medical engineers get the best MCAT scores.

Enjoy your dumbed down physics and mathematics

meh atleast I'll know a lil thing of everything I like. Plus I'll be making more money than you as a doctor (specifically, a neurosurgeon)

why bother with biomed engineering if you arent planning to do research after getting you MD making artificial lungs and shit?

>> No.4716088

Biomed is just dumbed down EE. I don't know why you'd give up the core courses of EE so you can take shit tier biomed stuff

Ditto. WTF, why bother majoring in it, anyway? Why not major Pre-Med and minor Biomedical Engineering?

>> No.4716097

OP here. Never said I was going to do it. But who knows. I might do neuroscience or something. Biomedical engineering just looks boss and useful.

if you plan on med school, any engineering field is a stupid idea. it will kill your gpa, and med schools could care less that its more difficult coursework. just major in minority womens studies and get a 4.0 so you can get into johns hopkins or whatever

Probably because there's no such thing as a "Pre-med" major just a set of prerequisites that can be met by a number of majors such as BME.

>>4716102
lol. Well do you think neuroscience would be a good major. I mean I'm aiming for harvard med school or OHSU.

European here, what's this shit majoring in studies before med school? As far as I know, we can go straight to the uni. after highschool.
