Dew Point. What is it now? Wikipidia sez 'the temperature where the water vapor in a volume of humid air at a constant barometric pressure will condense into liquid water.'

What does that MEAN?!?!?!

Does that mean, like, if somehow the dew point was 60 degrees, and I brought out a 60 degree can of Mt. Dew, then thenceforth it would be COVERED in water, due to the dew point being reached at that moment?

Troll or not, fuck it. It means that if the dew point is 60 F, then the water vapor in the air will condense into liquid water on the ground, hence, dew on the grass. vapor --> liquid. Condensation.

Here is my answer.
Dew point is a temperature.
Water vapour is suspended in the air.
As the air temperature decreases the water vapour spontaneously condenses into droplets at the dew point.
So when the temperature falls below the dew point then you get fog.
If there is lots of moisture in the air then the dew point is higher. If there is low humidity then the dew point (temperature when you get fog) is lower.
