why do we randomize almost everything in statistics? A solid answer would be appreciated.

Thanks /sci/

Not OP but anyone here taking AP stats tomorrow?

What should I expect, and is it hard? We had a shitty professor too

>> No.4686068

Because solid answers don't really exist in science.

Can any math genius explain how you can make up mathematical formulas for almost anything.

>> No.4686073

All I know is that randomization gives 'n' it's functionality. If there wasn't randomization, and instead everything was picked by how the experimenter thinks it should be picked, then as n increases, it wouldn't approach the normal curve

and you obviously use n for most if not all stat inferences, so it's functionality has to be verified by randomization
but who knows, i'm high as fuck so i'm probably wrong

I remember taking that exam in 11th grade (currently freshman in college)

from what i remember it wasnt that bad, just READ THE QUESTIONS CAREFULLY and CHOOSE THE BEST RESPONSE b/c the college board is tricky

also know how to conduct every type of significance test (t test z test chi squared test etc etc)

Good Luck
