work = force * distance, with the d_work and d_distance indicating <calculus goes here>

power = energy / sec. work is a type of energy expenditure, so

power = work / sec = force * distance / sec = force* velocity

simple definitions really.

The definitions are very simple, but that notation isn't that good. Work and Power should be W and P to make it less confusing.

Work is the amount of energy either done by, or put into something, and you calculate it by multiplying the force applied to/by an object by the displacement that force was applied over, in the same direction.

Power is the rate at which work is done, so it can also be thought of as the rate that energy is transferred.

Fuck, how do i into proofread?

What is this?... Work is a linear integral... dA alone doesn't even make sense, it's just an abuse of notation.
