In an electric generator. Which would yield a higher energy output. A greater mass turned; or a smaller mass turned faster? givin they are within means of eachother as far as comparison. ex.) {100Kg:2rpm} {2Kg:100rpm}

What do you think a generator is doing?

It converts from one energy form (physical) into another (electrical). It has an efficiency parameter between 0 and 1, probably 0.75.

Depending on the design, you could make either of those; I'm not sure which has a simpler time, but I bet it's easier/cheaper to make the big slow one efficient than it is to make the little fast one efficient.

Rotational Kinetic Energy = 1/2 I w^2 w being the rotational velocity and I being the rotational momentum. for something like a spinning rod I = ml^2/12 . so Energy is proportional to w (the speed of rotation) squared while it is directly proportional to only m. Conclusion: m matters, but w matters squared.
