Say I have a principal fiber bundle on an arbitrary disk D^{n} that has some lie group for structure. Is the fiber bundle really trivial?

Also, can the G-bundle be defined with a connexion? The paths/map could be anywhere, it doesnt matter.

Pony spamming is against the rules. It was such a problem that a specific rule was even written for it.

If that was the case, the rules would say to keep all pony *pictures* or *posts* or somesuch on /mlp/. It doesn't use that wording, and it does so for a reason.
Besides, I asked a moderator on IRC this exact question and he explicitly confirmed my interpretation. No, I don't have logs to cite and I don't care if you don't believe me.

Any fiber bundle over a contractible space is trivial. And yes, every G-bundle admits a G-connection.

Given that most mods are new and don't know how to apply the rules, even if what you said were true, it would still make no difference.

I'll just assume that you're asking for a reference and not whether this statement is independent of mainstream math: If I remember correctly there should be a proof of this in Hatcher, but I'm absolutely certain that you'll find a proof in Steenrod's "Topology of Fiber Bundles".
