have you spread the word of the holy church of LFTR today, /sci/? ignoring all its possible challenges and assuming it will solve all the worlds ills?

or have you actually been worthwhile and objectively examined it, while still trying to raise awareness and interest?

I'm a pseudo-regular on the energyfromthorium.com forums, and I try to correct misinformation here whenever I can, so .. meh.

All hail Thor! I mean thorium!

I've posted the copypasta in 3 or 4 threads on /sci/ and /pol today

Strange. I heard that solar power, wind power, and water power combined are enough to keep us running.

maybe in 2050
all depends if we can get over the 40% theoretical efficiency roadblock, and push the cost down to a few cents per kilowatt hour
but right now? not so much

I'm going to make a t-shirt with the pic in OP's post. Thanks.

You aren't referring to the THERMODYNAMIC efficiency "roadblock," are you?

Because that's not something you just "get over."

yeah, that's why i said depends
but keep in mind organic systems routinely make electron jumps that technically shouldn't be possible, as part of their photosynthetic processes.

of course that may be a loophole only allowed through complex chemical construction, and can't be used to make straight up electricity which would suck.
