what areas of maths has /sci/ covered? post your age and education level for comparison

Let's put it like this, for my souls well being sake I'd like to know much about Cartan geometry and it would generally help to have a broad intuition in statistics.

cartan geometry? is that like the cartan connection in differential geometry? i've not nearly that far yet

>> No.4615147

Intuitionistic logic, predicate logic and first-order logic are pretty much the same, higher-order logic, many-valued logic, modal logic, propositional calculus (logic), categorical logic, algebra, (some) programming languages, arithmetic, differential equations, Euclidean geometry, trigonometry, differential calculus, bayesian, probability theory, statistics, game theory.

I have covered those to some length at various points. Hard to tell about some of them since I was taught math in another language than english, so the names are sometimes different.

I don't have so much time to study up on math just for fun. Also, I'm a philosophy student.

yes, that's it.
It's on the perfect edge of abstraction and application.

thats crazy, I'm so far ahead of anyone my age in maths, but I'm nowhere near that. its scary how much there is to learn

what is crazy about that?
and where are you?

its just a cool piece of mathematics
and i'm at home... whats it to you?
