Is the universe a hologram?

does it matter?
its real to us

nah, thats different.

but yeh, it is right
like if a star is 100,000 light years away, it might have gone supernova 50,000 years ago, and we just dont know that its happened because light from 100,000 years ago from when the star was still there, has only just reached us.

I 'believe' so OP. While it is mind bogglingly complicated, it is still easier to apply the holographic principle when looking at the world around us for the common plebeian (such as myself) as long as you understand how holograms and holographs work, easier to 'grasp' than say quantum mechanics (which if you seriously look at in detail, is just as bat shit insane as the holographic theory (uncertainty principle etc.)

And to those who don't know what a holograph really is, please just check out the wiki page, shit is insane.

The holographic theory of the brain is also very interesting, especially the way it attempt to explain memory/dreams etc.

When talking about the holographic principle however it is easy to get too caught up in just how far reaching the holographic elements are. For example where do we place ourselves (sentient being and/or all life) in all of it. Some ways of looking at it would place us as actual gods, but this cannot be as we could literally change existence at the blink of an eye.

I see 'reality' as a holograph, the projected image, the convergence of the 'holographic soup', as in I am just a small part of a whole, not in a spiritual way though.

However if myself and everything else is the Holograph, where is the Hologram?

My head hurts.

wat.

i honestly cannot in any way see what that has to do with the holographic principle.
