/sci/, I've always wondered about this.
Why is it that everything is tinted red when I look out my right eye, and yet everything is tined blue when I look out the other eye?

>> No.4574731

My first guess: Each eye receives different brightness, so the information gets processed accordingly, so each eye is a little differently adapted.

Maybe you are sick. Biological vision does not work like that.

>> No.4574829

>>4574817
Not true, I get the exact same thing. It's interesting to think about the slight differences people perceive color in this way.

You are both sick.
Go to the eye doctor yo!

>> No.4574834

when you get glasses, they also check what color tint suits you best too, like green or blue if i recall correctly... and thats about all i know. im sure you can find something on wikipedia

>> No.4574848

Woha OP almost the same thing happens to me, except everything is red from my left eye and green from my right eye. Though it's barely noticeable and I had forgotten about it up until now.

everything is the same to me in both eyes. You might be red-blue colorblind. Let me ask you this, what number do you see here?

>> No.4574865

My left eye sees colours slightly more vibrantly than my right eye.

i confirm. one of my eye perceive colors a little more warmly of the other one.

>> No.4574919

Light is falling differently on different eyes.

Try it. Rotate seating position 180 degrees. Wait 20 mins for eyes to adjust. Repeat experiment.

VERY IMPORTANT. Try experiment twice with each eyes being the first to be closed. It may be that that is changing tint.

Ey, trust me bitches; this is my field. "3D" (stereo) is NOT color coded in biological vision!

Clearly your head is spinning so fast it's blue/red shifting the incoming light.

I think I might try this. I've had this "condition" for as long as I can remember, but I don't think I've ever recorded if the colour tint stays the same for each eye.
It happens in particular when there is a strong-ish source of light (when the light is very strong, such as direct sunlight, occasionally I'll see the red tint even with both eyes open, which really fucks with my vision. The difference then is also very, very obvious).

>>4574834
Huh. I've never heard of that.

Might go and ask around the optometrist office the next time I go.

I get the troll but if you have an orange/brown picture and tell somebody he's red/blue colour blind if he can't see anything that makes no fucking sense.

>>4575075
I also have this (rarely). It's like wearing very weak sunglasses. Also curious for explination.
