Is all of life at its core, just chemistry?

Wow, she's hot. Who is she?

In many scientists' opinions, yes.

I'd call it robotics.

No, b/c the standard model and QFT both butcher rigorous math :)

In many -by far- more people's opinion, no.
What's the difference?

Yes, for chemists like me.

Looks like it from here, Skippy.

Straight answer from a biochemist: Yes. Life is a set of thermodynamically favourable reactions. Life increases the entropy of the universe. If you think about what most animals do, they eat ordered solids (plants and other animals) and spew out messy shit and gas. The fact that all life is simply chemistry leads to the inevatable conclusion of determinism, ie that although you think you make choices in actual fact you dont. Enjoy your day.

>> No.4553165

>>4552383
chem, plus a bit of physics, yes

>> No.4553815

>>4553157
Einstein didn't know shit when he bashed quantum mechanics by saying god doesn't play with dice.
The Newtonian idea of determinism is wrong and unless you can describe the present past and future of at least one particle with infinite precision, you can't tell where the proteins in my heart cells will be in a hundred years.

So, is logic a science?

damn murrikans are realising what biology is now
