Has anyone got a copy of Physics for Scientists and Engineers, by Ohanian and Markert? It'd be a 2nd/3rd edition. The most I've found is the first few chapters, after which nothing. I'm trying to do the MIT physics lectures, but they use this text, and it's a bitch not being able to go over things.

I'm sorry, but I do not.

Really, I'm just posting to say that Ohanian is a dick. His textbook for undergraduate quantum is a steaming pile of poorly written material.

Best quantum book for beginners (with some adequate knowledge in maths and physics) is "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics" by Griffiths.

For other physics we at the TU/e used "University physics" by Young and Freedman.

I wouldn't be interested in using the book if it weren't for the fact that the MIT course uses it. I have various other textbooks I'd rather use, and which are easier to find, but...

Wrong author. But thanks anyway.
