Baruch Spinoza believed that everything that exists in Nature (i.e., everything in the Universe) is one reality, and that there is only one set of rules governing the whole of the reality which surrounds us and of which we are part. Basically we are all an integral part of the System.

Essentially, the universe and everything that exists is a giant Rube Goldberg machine and you are the tiniest part. You can comprehend nothing of the whole project, only the small section of which you are a part. Everything you do in your entire life is exactly what the machine needs to set off the next chain and, ultimately, acomplish it's goal. Everything you do in life is actually the most important thing in the world at that moment.

And what is the ultimate goal? To develop a unified theory of course! Only then will we be able to predict the fate of the universe and prepare to stop it if possible (or desired).

Yes, it is most likely probable.
We are part of a big computer, and we are just little pieces of data that contribute to it.
It's somewhat like how we are trying to build artificial intelligence.
Think of us as the computer that we are trying to give consciousness.
We are doing the same thing in nature.
Once we have the consciousness, we become godlike.
...But what do I know?
I'm just a strand of data.

>it's goal.
Hold up there. Intentionality only comes from minds.

the future network of humanity's computing power will be the sentience of the universe. God.

You might be interested in Isaac Asimov's "The Last Question" - it's a really cool story along those lines: http://www.multivax.com/last_question.html

Ah yes the "Fag who hasn't read The Ethics" and likes to bastardize the works of actual thinkers based on the most flimsy and most sub fucking human of summaries.

>you are the tiniest part.

Technically you'd be a mode on an infinite range of modes expressing one or more (out of infinite) attributes via single substance.

The notions of the "tiny" and "large" are relative in his metaphysics but one can get "more large" or "more smaller".

>Everything you do in life is actually the most important thing in the world at that moment.

Substance in the whole has no "emotions" or "goals". There's no transcendental justification for your actions.

>And what is the ultimate goal? To develop a unified theory of course!

lol that's a goal of a subset of apes who value one attribute of the infinity in substance (3-D and Propositional Modeling) and who are reactive replicators for a number non-ape intelligences/cybernetics.

>Only then will we be able to predict the fate of the universe and prepare to stop it if possible (or desired).

LOL subhuman ideology. We might be able to predict the fate of our universe but if you're thinking about ALL OF REALITY under The Ethics, you have to deal with an infinity of different mechanics dealing with an infinity of different objects that are unknowable and an infinite subset of them would PROPAGATE FASTER THAN THE ATTEMPT OF SOME SUBHUMAN TO UNDERSTAND THEM.
