How does a 200 level Electronics course compare to other physics courses? I have my BS but I'm regretting not taking Electronics.

Here's a wallpaper.

Electronics is a "hobby". Anyone can do that shit. It is pretty shit teir and not worthy of an actual course.

If you wanna learn electronics just go to an electronics hobby shop (or rado shack).
You made the right choice.

... And what do you think your computer consists of, other than electronics? Or your 1000$ stereo system?

There's a big difference between the majority of amateur hobbyists, who often slap together crappy circuits without putting much thought at all into the design or fabrication, and skilled electrical engineers :) That being said, some hobbyists DO know what they're doing very well, using careful circuit design and simulations to verify them.

P.S. If you think you can buy everything you need to build professional electronics at radio-shack, you've barely scratched the surface of the electronics world.
P.P.S. In b4 "butthurt electrical engineer"; I'm in 4th year engineering physics (taken GR, etc.) and I make electronics as a hobby.

They're all right... but I'm more the machinist type (finally got shop training last summer). You can generally make much better stuff on a mill and a lathe than you can with 3D printers - higher tolerances, can use much stronger materials (incl. heat treatment, forging, etc.).

Maybe in 20-30 years, they can compete with real machining :)

>Don't take advice from idiots that can't even spell "Electronics" correctly
Seriously, he's probably never taken a class on electronics in his life. It's useful, and it's cool; if you want to take it by all means take it.

P.S. If you ever do experimental physics (which it seems like you might be heading into), it's EXTREMELY useful to have an understanding of electronics.
