This is partly true, as much of psychology isn't really based on the scientific method. Some of it is, though, which is why it pertains partly to science. To me, if a subject isn't entirely based on science, it isn't science.

Philosophy is important though, because science is based on it. That's not to say that philosophy is a science, though.
