noo, they triead tro keep it secret untill they found the problem/was 1000% sure the data was corect, but some doesbad went and told the media, so the had to tell everyont and the media blew it out of proportion.

I really don't get the hate. Considering the complexity of these kind of experiments, I'm actually surprised this shit doesn't happen on a daily basis. Well, maybe it does.

When I think about the mistakes I did and had to correct during my physics thesis, dear god...

Did they?
I just skimmed through the paper once and don't remember reading anything in the "spectacular" category. Also, I think they spent a LOT of time trying to track that time difference, without any luck and then published.

The only ones going mental about this were pop-science segments in shitty newspapers.

What is considered science and what isn't? Science philosophers have tried to answer that question for a long time time now. Too bad the answer is really abstract and that's too bad, because scientist have trouble with that word. Because it's not really science, it's phylosophy.

> Discussing what is science and what's not is not science! So not /sci/-related.

Um, no they didn't. Retards/trolls on /sci/ did, but I guarantee you can't find a single actual scientist claiming "Einstein was wrong."

They never even published in a journal. Dozens of other experiments said superluminal neutrinos were impossible. Every physicist that got ten minutes on TV said this, it was the media who misrepresented the story.

This solution to the problem was only one of two and neither have been confirmed to sort the problem.

deal with your inconsistency mathfags.
