Chemfag here, need some 1H NMR help. I'm looking at my NMR for an unknown from lab. Three major peaks with relative integrals of 22.55 : 35.91 : 35.97. Then there are two smaller singlets with relative integrals of 2.10 and 3.46. I know I'm not dealing with some huge compound where there could be this kind of disparity in relative integrals. Is it safe to ignore these peaks? What could have caused them?

Your query is meaningless without molecular formula, chemical shift, and coupling constants.

Also, do your own fucking homework.

Assignment was to identify the unknown, which I'm 99% sure I did correctly, so I'm not asking anyone to help me with homework. Was really just wondering if anyone knew what these were, or what may have caused it. Just curious is all. Chill bro.

Jesus fucking christ, where do you people come from? Why do universities let people like you graduate with natural science degrees. Figure it out your damn self, nigger. Don't come back with your homework again.

Feels good. I like it.
Deal with it, nerd.

The point is to someone who actually knows anything about NMR you are asking a question on par with "A train leaves Chicago traveling south at 20J/L and a bird shits on the wind shield. What is the temperature in London?"

Fair enough, my bad. I worded my post poorly. I was just curious if it was commonplace to see small, singlet peaks which clearly aren't part of the compound being analyzed. Honestly wasn't trying to get anybody to do my homework.
