ok /sci I come to you
What is the pressure on both objects

/b/ sent me over here saying your smart and all
container is glass both fluids are at the same temp and are the same

>> No.4359053

Is vessel on the right open like a typical barometer?

>> No.4359057

>>4359053
not OP but I would assume so

>> No.4359058

>>4359053
yes both open to sea level pressure on the top

>> No.4359065

also it took /b/ like 200 posts to even get if they have the same pressure or not and why

They are the same. If they weren't, and you connected them, water would flow into the larger container which would then overflow, or visa versa.

>>4359046
Same pressure, different force.

>> No.4359076

>>4359066

right. fluid pressure operates in a column

>> No.4359085

>>4359066

reminding you that OP is asking for pressure felt by the objects, your analysis example addresses the air pressure being the same.

>> No.4359090

They both have 10mH20 of pressure on them.

Anyone who has done geotechnics or fluid mechanics would know this...

pressure equals 1 bar on both sides.
this phenomenon is called hydrostatic paradox btw.
pic related

10mL of water over 10m would totally have capillary action, btw..

damn that was fast

/sci/ pretty cool guy so far

lets see the numbers
everything you need is in the first post

>> No.4359614

hmm nothing

>> No.4359659

A car battery is 12 volts.
8 AA batteries in series is also 12 volts.
A car battery can supply several hundred amps to start your car.
8 AA batteries in series can supply several amps for less than a minute before becoming seriously discharged.
The pressure at the bottom of a column of water 1' high and 1" in diameter or 1' in diameter is the same, but the volume of water is different, and the flow rate, if you unstoppered the bottom would be different, too.

Here's your number:

same pressure.
virtually with a long steel bar filled with water you can destroy a barrel for the pressure with small amount of water ( you still have to connect bar and barrel with a pressure proof connection)
