I have a theology teacher who claims that carbon-14 dating is inaccurate. From what I have read, radiocarbon dating has been calibrated with samples of known age and is very accurate. The only discrepancy would be fluctuations in atmospheric carbon-14 levels.

Thoughts on this and other radiometric dating techniques?
