peanuts consist of a lot of fat, which is not particularly good for muscle gain. They also contain a buttload of kcal, which may be a good thing if you're having trouble eating enough "the normal way". But if you'll just eat peanuts, you'll get a buttload of kcal and very few proteins (which are good for muscle building) meaning that the excess energy will go to building fat instead. As for the heart thing, no idea.
