Hey /Sci/,

If you were to create a clone of yourself in the opposite sex, get it pregnant, and have a kid... Would it be another clone, since it's the same dna?

Pic always related, it's a chick.

>> No.4345098

semantics. is your identical twin a clone? and if so WHICH ONs'S THE ORIGINAL!!!??!??!?!11 :OOOOO

it would be one of my fetishes

>Clone
>Opposite Sex
Y Chromosome, maaaaaaannnnn. I smell a plot hole.
Other than that, minor mutations would probably occur, but you guys would be pretty damn similar. Then you could impregnate the two of them, clone them, travel back in time....
By god, it would be the coolest orgy in all of history.

>> No.4345110

If you had a child with yourself it would be very likely to express recessive genes. It's the same problem as incest, only much worse. You would probably end up with a retarded three armed mutant.

>implying that children are one half of each parent.

>> No.4345113

You get two copies of everything, one from your mother and one from your father. If one copy is broken, the other is usually still ok, If you fuck your clone, there's a pretty good chance that the offspring will have two broken copies and thus exhibit recessive disorders.

no. apparently you've never heard of genetic recombination or mutation.

Mammalian mating doesn't work the same as pollination. That's like saying cutting a person in half should make two living people because it works for starfish.

>thinks negative consequences of inbreeding are independent of the organisms molecular genetics, genetic complexity, physiology, etc, and thus that animals and plants are directly comparable

Are you even aware of how ignorant you are, or do you honestly believe that you magically learn shit just by wasting your life away in from the the computer?

If it worked like that, all siblings would be genetically identical.

It's always funny when somebody does something like this while calling another person stupid.

No, I'm not the person you were just quoting.

Maybe he's tired.

Also not the person you are quoting.

It would most probably retarded.

not my fault you are so narrow minded you don't even consider plants when you go off bashing inbreeding

nope

nope

nope

No, because of recombination and crossing-over during Meiosis.

End of discussion.

I would be the one getting impregnated, but I think I'd give birth to some sort of inbred baby with horrible genetic traits. Not worth it, but if I ever find the male version of myself I would be quite attracted to him

If I had clones, I'd force them all to watch this video:
