well, 0.3 are too fragile, 0.5 and up tend to change their tip shape as you write. That is not what I want.

Anyone using Pilot REXGrip in here? How do they compare to the Super Grip?

I see you have never done any serious math. Insults aside, I'm a math major and a good mechanical pencil is a must have for anyone serious about his math.

>> No.4318804

>>4318741
why? I mean do you erase much or what? I just don't like the tip shape changing all the time, that's all. Btw saw, there's some pencils who can keep their tip shape, but they rare

>> No.4318836

yea, i dont like doing maths with pencils, i make a right fucking mess, but i prefer seeing where i went wrong. also mitsubishi uniball eye fine, fucking best pen in the world, not only is the action smooth, it has a bit on the chewing end if you pull off and blow through it makes an infuriating high pitched sound, which is great for pissing off assholes. :D

well, you seem to study philology or some other soft science, so you happen to not know about formulas and such..

Doing math with a pen means less erasing, so less second guessing. Useful mostly for contests and stuff.

>> No.4318912

>>4318873
nope they feel weird and taste bad when i chew on them, can't rub out a pen so i make a mess, but i prefer being able to see mistakes.

Get out of here. 0.9mm lead master race.
0.7mm is good too, but doesn't give quite the satisfying feeling you get when writing with a 0.9mm.

Kuratoga pencils are expensive, but the tip rotates every time you lift up the pencil from the paper, and every time the lead comes in contact with the paper. It works relatively well in keeping a consistent tip, even if you use a .7mm lead pencil.

This person also taught me this writing technique where you write lightly, and somehow, the tip doesn't change on me when I do it. It's also easier to write neatly while writing lightly.
