Will we be able to achieve immortality in the next 50 years?

Given the rate technology grows do you think medicine and shit will be advanced enough so I won't have to die? I'm assuming only the rich will have access to this though.

>> No.4307908

No

>> No.4307913

Even if we ever get that far in science you would never be able to buy it, they want the population of the earth cut down significantly. I'm sure they are already putting something in those "back to school" shots that are required for kids.

Fuck you for posting this panda once again. Fuck you hard. I hate these faggots posting the same shitty windows sample picture over and over again. Why don't you download one, and it needs to be only one, picture from the internet and post it instead? Is that too much for you?

I fucking hope not! Human immortality would be the worst thing to ever happen to the planet!

Does immortality also mean immunity to evolving diseases?
Unless immortality comes with 0 birthrate, the human population will double every generation.
So will the demand for resources.
Massive human overpopulation.
Whole world becomes 1 giant city.
Dictator that never die.
Human evolution will stop.
Plus there would be massive unpredictable psychological changes to humanity.

death is a disease and we will cure it, eventually. there is a jelly fish that can reset its own dna making it virtually immortal. its out there, if we can get our science down i see no reason we cant figure this out.

Not to mention there have been enormous advances in the field of life extention in the last decade, specially with stem cells.

Death due to old age is not a disease, its a programmed response to the eventual accumulation of deleterious mutations to your DNA.

>> No.4308156

With my limited knowledge I feel two things would need to happen
(1) need to find a way to allow cells to replicate without damaging itself after every regeneration/reproduction
(2) find a way to keep the reproduction rate of cells the same throughout ones life once they hit an adult age at which they wish to stay at
