Does immortality also mean immunity to evolving diseases?
Unless immortality comes with 0 birthrate, the human population will double every generation.
So will the demand for resources.
Massive human overpopulation.
Whole world becomes 1 giant city.
Dictator that never die.
Human evolution will stop.
Plus there would be massive unpredictable psychological changes to humanity.

With my limited knowledge I feel two things would need to happen
(1) need to find a way to allow cells to replicate without damaging itself after every regeneration/reproduction
(2) find a way to keep the reproduction rate of cells the same throughout ones life once they hit an adult age at which they wish to stay at
