Are you seriously not understanding what negative percents can represent, in general?

I don't open links posted on 4chan, expecially when they have dubious top-level domain names.

i don't have a clue about this whole cosmic_ray/sunspot/neutron_activity -thing
but
due to this article
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/03/15/cosmic-ray-flux-and-neutron-monitors-suggest-we-may-not-have-h
it-solar-minimum-yet/
i guess negative percentage means, the activity of the sun is decreasing...
(or did i get it wrong and it means the activity of the sun is increasing? this would corelate with the two major outburst we during the last 7 days)
also if you scroll down to the end of that article, it seems, those spikes (as the one seen in the OP.gif, seem to be quit normal (see 08/07/11, 11/09/11, 25/09/11, 23/10/11)

>> No.4288702

>>4288689
It's not normal.
It's a countdown.

Please, please, PLEASE stop bringing up the god-forsaken Mayans!

They did nothing important, knew nothing special, and predictions are meaningless.
They also had virtually no science, no understanding of the universe, and no predictive ability.

How about this:
stop worrying about tiny variations near the mean when we already know large variations away from the mean don't matter much.

it's like a stock investor panicking when he sees his stock drop 2%
-- because it is double the 1% mark.
