I thought I was intelligent, I really did. But the more and more I read these posts, the more and more I realize how little I know and how poor my understanding of science is. My problem solving abilities are far below average, as well as my mathematical abilities. My reading and writing skills are adequate to say the least, but what good is the ability to communicate when you have nothing worth communicating.

Should I just...end it all?

>> No.4285209

If by "end it all" you mean kill yourself, then probably.

Maybe you exist to make the rest of us feel better about ourselves.

If you'd like a more serious response: Read a book. When you've finished, read another one.

naw, you probably have a fairly creative mind

its not about what information your brain carries or how much but the way that its interconnected

What good is theoretical knowledge if you can't apply it.

>>4285213
Intelligence is defined as the ability to acquire knowledge and apply it effectively. I said knowledge and understanding, not that they were the same.

“Scientific knowledge is a body of statements of varying degrees of certainty -- some most unsure, some nearly sure, none absolutely certain.” -- Richard Feynman

If you don't feel dumb when doing science, then you're doing it wrong.

Understanding the application of knowledge is knowledge in itself. Also, quit being such a contrary wanker.

I'm not even a science student. I'm a fucking history student, how do you think I feel. My degree is the laughing stock of the academic world.

>>4285248
The certainty of the claims has nothing to do with my ability to understand or apply them. Feynman is mah nigga, but that quote is misplaced in this discussion.

That is the composition you feel would best put me in awe of our glorious world? A funeral requiem by the most mainstream composer to ever have lived?

Hey dude, IMO money is really important in life so
I am going to become a tradesman but dab into every field taught in schools during the apprenticeship by reading/looking up, researching then I will decide if I want to become an undergrad in a field I find interesting.

If the fields are not well paid I will not go to school but possibly study in my spare time or give up on academics at all.

This way if I don't like school I will go back to my trades job or start a new apprenticeship.
