>A Russian scientist claims to have discovered life on Venus after analysing photographs taken by a Soviet probe that landed on the planet's surface 30 years ago.

>The pictures - taken by the probe Venus-13 in 1982 - have been re-examined by Leonid Ksanfomaliti of the Space Research Institute at Russia's Academy of Sciences.

>Ksanfomaliti said the images showed a scorpion-shaped body, a disc and a 'black flap,' which apparently moved as the probe's camera records the scene.

What is it? You can clearly see two shapes that look like 'flippers' as such and then obviously a body if it is a lifeform.

>> No.4284532

Bullshit. You can't claim life based on a photo alone, no matter how complex the apparent structure. You need to show the phenomenon has a physiology, ability to reproduce, etc. And it's a shitty, blurry, photograph at that.

>which apparently moved as the probe's camera records the scene

Surely this alone would rule out most non biological explanations?

Yes obviously.
Seriously, when was the last time you saw anything move that wasn't alive?

There is no more space for man.

The area I have circled in blue shows about as much evidence of being a lobster as the black portion does of being a scorpion.

>> No.4284577

There is NEARLY DEFINITIVE evidence that there was life on mars at some point. Why don't we say there was life on mars? Oh yea, because science doesn't take things for granted just because it seems like it.

Is this one of those things where you have to cross your eyes to see it? I don't see SHIT in ops picture. It might as well be shit.

There is no video. It's just different pictures. It "changes position" because they were taken with different cameras. Read the space.com article.
