How would you measure a volume of an irregular solid object with a density lesser than of water?

The same way I would measure the volume of an irregular solid object with a density greater than water. It might not like it but the principle is the same.

attach it to a heavier object which you know it's volume then put it in water .Or you could just use fluids that are lighter than water (e.g. oil)
