That's pretty stupid. Although you can make a sum of money off probability such as learning the 'lean' of a roulette table or counting cards in blackjack they'll simply kick you out and blacklist you from every casino in the world.

It's happened more times than you can count. It's literally pointless to try and win against the house, they ALWAYS win.

This is also becoming especially hard with electronic gambling that takes such things as table lean and card counting out of the equation.

Plus when card counting you generally work with 10x the amount of money you expect gain. You don't go in there with a nickel and come out loaded, you go in with $100 and come out with $110.

Really? Why's that? Is it against the rules or something?

A casino is a private business, they can kick you out or blacklist you for any reason they want. Counting cards is one of them.

PhD Comics are just bad. All it's ever been since its creation is "I can't get funding", "I can't complete my thesis" or "I'm struggling to balance work and friends." If you've read the first 50, you've read them all. It's basically an illustrated blog.
