Would there be any chance of survival for the human species (if we are still around by then) when Adromeda collides with the Milky Way?
What would ultimately be the death of the planet? being sucked into the black hole? Heat? Massive gravity?
or a mixture of all of the above?

the only thing that will do is make our maps of the stars useless and fuck up astrology readings.

also, if we're not off the planet by then we'll be dead anyway.
sun running out of fuel and whatnot.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>implying evolution doesn't

but I can see the general point you're trying to make. If what our species becomes is actually dumber than what we are now, then we're probably fucked.

After glancing at the Andromeda-Milky Way collision thing on Wiki, it seems that that will happen in like 3-5 billion years. I'm pretty sure we need to already be off this rock by then, as the sun will start to go red giant at some point in this time frame. The chances of something in Andromeda hitting us seems unlikely, though I wouldn't completely count it out, as we only see stars and there are tons of things small enough to not see but big enough to fuck our planet royally. Anyway, the main point is we need to be gone by then regardless.

speaking of astrology.

There is always that dilemma, when a girl asks you for your sign,
you realize she is into you, but also, is really fucking dumb.

im saying hypothetically if the sun didn't expand and held out longer than we initially thought.

Amendment:
As to the "ultimate death of the planet"... planets aren't alive. I think life on this planet will, from the options presented, be wiped out from heat. The source of that heat... I dunno, the sun or a comet or something, that wasn't really specified or requested, so just heat.

Even if we manage to live on the earth for the next trillion years, the universe will become so inhospitable to life that any life would cease to exist. wtf universe, i wanted to create my own universe too, the universe just isnt fair.

go on, this is intriguing, why wouldn't the universe be hospitable?
