Guys, please help me with this chemistry question:

Lysozyme is an enzyme that breaks down the cell walls of the bacterias. A sample is 13.930 g / mol. 0.100 g of this enzyme are dissolved in 150g of water at 25 ° C. What is the melting point?

Thank you!

Don't give us TOO much information bro.

Have you even tried to solve it yourself?
If so then post your guess.

Trick question. Lysozyme remains in solid state.

step 1

convert the .100g to moles

step 2
convert 150g of water to kg

uh, what? this question makes very little sense; this is either really incomplete or a terrible translation.

problems with the question:

a sample of WHAT is 13.930 g/mol? that's a really, really low weight - whatever the sample is, it is smaller than methane.

what melting point are you trying to figure out?

how does the enzyme factor in to the question?

step 3
divide the moles of your enzyme by .150kg

multiply your answer by the melting point constant of water.
