Hi /sci/entists! I have a question about equipotential line. For example you have two electrodes that have these equipotential lines http://www.pstcc.edu/departments/natural_behavioral_sciences/E2020D0103.gif

What would happen if you add an excess positive charge. I know that it would move towards the negative electrode but how would it affect the equipotential lines?

It's pretty intuitive. The curves around the (+) node would be larger, and the curves around the (-) node correspondingly smaller.
