The problem with most asians is that they stick in their little cliques and never associate with anyone non-asian. Koreans seem especially xenophobic. Also, in the higher level math courses at my university it's pretty balanced between Asians and white guys, but in the lower level versions (say, linear algebra vs. algebra) it's pretty much all Asian. I don't know why this is, but I lack respect for most Asians because they don't have any social skills to back up the fact they're in lower math (it has to balance out somewhere or there's a skill deficit).

it's not their IQ, but their culture. They work hard as hell, but to be really good at something you need to understand thing deeper than just swot up everything. Asians 95 of 100 times are just memorising stuff and it works, because education system is heavily based on just mechanical calculations where you can slip through without really understanding many things.

In my program, all the Chinese graduates are from Tsinghua University, China's number 1 university. They don't do any better or worse than American students on average, or any other international student. Some are extremely talented academically and in research, while some Americans are the same way. The people from Ghana are fucking brilliant in math though, and I don't know why. You must all know some Ghanians since they're everywhere. Are they equally good in mathematics at your universty?
