Hi guys I got given this stupid riddle and for the life of me I can't work it out.
If I get a cube and I hang it by a corner and cut it perfectly down the middle, what shape will the cross section be I get? It is a Isosceles Trapiziod?

>> No.4242009

there are so many planes to cut it. But most likely is the regtangular.

>> No.4242018

it will always be a square

I actually feel rather stupid for not getting this right the first time. If you put the cross-section against the floor, you will have two full sides of the cube pointing upwards like a roof on a house, and two halves of the original sides pointing straight up to meet the full sides. If that makes any sense. Just imagine the top of a house.
