Wouldn't this actually work???

Im pretty sure it would

Well, your body would be leaning downward so gravity would help pull your forward faster.

Go build a bike and test it out. Science is more than theories.

Theories are sometimes more than Science, my friend.

I did this and was disappointed. I had to decelerate all the time while letting the bike roll, even when going uphill. More exhausting than pedalling.

Becuase if you went down hill for real you would soon be moving at terminal velocity and fucking up gravity

Yeah I had the same problem with starting to go too fast, maybe some sort of magnetic braking system in the back would help??

But... That would work...

>> No.4202481

I don't see how it would work, the surface is still flat, also it will need a harder effort from you to move a bigger wheel in the back.

>> No.4202483

The whole porpose of the downhill is that a component of gravity is pulling you in the direction you're going.

Here you're going straight so gravity won't affect you.

But you're body will still be facing downward and getting pulled forward by gravity

But if you hold on to the bike, the weight and energy will be transferred and let the wheels roll you forward.

What?, no, there's no component of gravity pulling you forward so it won't work, no matter what you do with your body, if something is pulling you foward is the impulse you make by moving your body (momentum).

I really can't see how someone can come up with this idea, it's obviously wrong.
