Okay I googled it and now I'm wondering how do I decide what to use as an acid? Do I have to use an organic acid? Or should I just l2highschoolchemistry?

ok heres what you do op.

first you mix it with sodium hydroxide. this is a strong base and converts it to salt form so that it dissolves in water and leaves the plant matter.
next add an equal amount of bleach. bleach contains hypochloric acid to neutralize the base and return the alkaloid salt to its freebase form.

also make sure you do this in a dark place, like your garage with the door closed and only one light on. otherwise youll lose most of your product

skim the alkaloids off the top and enjoy
