That (-logy) was a suffix, numbnuts. Furthermore, while (-logy) technically is the correct suffix, most either already have or need an 'o' to fix them, so most end up looking like (-ology) anyway, so it's semantics.

People who have never studied Psychology do not know what it is, therefore, they can not be good judge on whether or not it's a science.
People who have studied Psychology have their opinion biased by their wish for it to be a science, therefore they can not be good judge on whether or not it is science either.

Psychology when it come to study the human behavior, make observation and try experimentation (for example, the Pavlovian behavior) is a science.

Bu when Psychology is used as a tool to help people, it's no more science, but therapy.

Just like medicine and engineering are not science either, but application of biological and physical knowledge.
