You have completely overlooked the fact that you view math as "pure" because of your psychology. Your individual psychology is a result of your enculturation which is then a result of a groups environment. Environment is a result of biology, geology and some extraneous circumstance. And as you can see, logically the flow should be more circular than linear.

You dont need to make field studies to validate the hypothesis that 2+3=5 and you dont need to and example of it to validate it.
We cant proof empirical models, we can only validate them, but we have proof in mathematics. etc.
