Hi!
What would happen if we take a stick that is 100 light-years long.
The point at 1m moves at 10m/s. Omega would be 10.

At 100 light years, which is 9.4605284 × 10^17m, the speed would be 9.4605284 × 10^18m/s.

The speed of light is 3x10^8m/s... problem, Einstein

>> No.4115960

you'd need infinite energies to move the stick 10ms at 1m. you might as well say "take a ball, and move it at c+1. problem einstein?"

>> No.4115961

atoms are governed by the electromagnetic forces, therefore you'd se a "wave" of the material going close to the speed of light, and the other end will move oinly when the wave reaches the end of the object

What is the stick is completly rigid?

Then you have boiled your thought experiment down to:
1. Relativity says nothing can move faster than the speed of light
2. Assume otherwise
3. Therefore, relativity is wrong

You should probably kill yourself.

the stick would bend, it definitely wont go faster than light.

HOLY FUCK OP, THAT'S INCREDIBLE!

But how did you make the stick completely rigid?

What do you link glue is for?
You glue all the molecules

aww dude!
...but what about if glue is made of molecules itself! how do we glue the glue molecules together??

>> No.4116029

You glue the glue

With gluons.
